Swim lessons

This week Grey started his 1st swim lessons with his friends Kai and Tyler. Day 1 went okay, he liked being in the water and tossed in the air (not a swim lesson, probably a swim lesson no no!), he did not like floating on his back or having the swim instructor hold him. Day 2 went well, he still didn't float on his back, but splashed, kicked, and blew bubbles in the water! Day 3 went so so. He seemed over it and didn't really want to do anything but play with a pool toy. When I tried to take it away he threw a tantrum by dunking his head under the water. The swim instructor happen to come by at that moment and thought she had a star pupil on her hands. Alas I had to tell her it was a baby meltdown, and he surely wouldn't be doing that again anytime soon. Day 4 should bring something interesting I am sure and we still have all of next week as well. Swim baby swim!
According to Sailor Jerry:
A pig on the top of one foot and a rooster on the other is intended to keep a sailor from drowning. The theory behind this has to do with the cages roosters and pigs were kept in on a boat; during a shipwreck their lightweight wooden frames became personal flotation devices and offered a ride to shore, giving pigs and rooster a surprising survival rate. A sailor hoping for good luck should his ship meet a similar fate would get a rooster on top of the right foot and a pig on top of the left.

That is so adorable! Looks like you both had a good day. I wish my mom had taught me to swim at that age.
